Singh did not resign due to differences: SP chief

Singh did not resign due to differences: SP chief
New Delhi, Jan 7: Hours after the resignation of party general secretary Amar Singh, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that there are no differences between him and Amar Singh.

"He has resigned only from the post of general secretary and not from the party," Yadav said on Singh's resignation from the party's key post.

Yadav refuted speculation of differences between the duo as the reason behind Amar Singh's decision, stating that Singh's resignation was solely on health reason.

"There is no such thing. I spoke to him only a couple of days back."

However, he said that he was not in a position to ask to call off his resignation as 'they do not share such relation'.

Earlier, Yadav had refused to comment on Amar Singh's resignation from the post of general secretary, spokesperson and member of party's parliamentary board.

SP chief said that he would choose to comment on it after a couple of days as he had not received any direct communication.
