Allahabad, Jan 4: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday, Jan 3, that the decision for separate Telangana in Andhra Padesh was a sample of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) politics of separatism.
"The government has taken the decision (of creating Telangana state) under pressure and it reflects the politics of separatism," Bhagwat said at an RSS function held at the Sangam Parade ground.
Bhagwat said that politicial parties should not be only concerned with issues related to castes and languages for politics, but should work towards bringing country's development.
Accusing the central government of lacking military preparedness in the awake of China's aggressive posturing and fostering friendship with Nepal and Pakistan to gain entry in Arunachal Pradesh, Bhagwat said that the Central government was not keen in tacking terrorism.
"Due to the leniency adopted by the government, terror activities are taking place in different parts of the country," the RSS chief said.
Bhagwat lamented that though Pakistan and Bangladesh drive away minority Hindus, nothing is said to them, but RSS is labeled as 'communal' when it criticizes infiltration from Bangladesh and Pakistan to India.
He said that RSS should be mistaken for a political party, but it is an organization that helps in promoting moral values in the country.
