Swine flu toll climbs close to four digit mark

India's H1N1 toll reaches 967
New Delhi, Jan 2: India's swine flu death toll claimbs close to the four digit mark as more fatalities continue to be reported from across the country.

As per the health department's data released on Friday, Jan 1, 13 new deaths have taken the H1N1 toll to 967.

The deaths were reported from Maharashtra (3), Uttarakhand (3), Delhi (2), Karnataka (2), Gujarat (1), Madhya Pradesh (1) and Punjab (1).

127 fresh cases of H1N1 for which Delhi alone accounted for 55 cases, has taken the total number of swine flu cases to 26,039 across the country.
