Bangalore girl dies of drug overdose in Goa
Panaji, Dec 31: A Bangalore girl allegedly died of drug overdose at the Sunburn Music Festival in Goa on Wednesday, Dec 30.

23-year-old girl Neha Bahuguna collapsed in the party and was rushed to private hospital in Panaji.

While the Goa Police Director General of Police BS Bassi confirmed the death of Bahuguna in the party, he denied that drug was being sold at the music festival.

"The girl died yesterday (Wednesday) and the body has been sent to Government Medical College for post-mortem. Goa Police are taking all precaution and there was no sale of drugs. This is not first incident. We are booking all drug peddlers and we will make Goa drug free. We will not be able to tell anything before of post-mortem report," Bassi said in a TV news report.

Despite ensuring a drug-free festival, it has been reported that drug peddling was going on in the festival right under the nose of the sleuths of the Anti-Narcotics Cell present at the venue.

Commenting on the incident, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said that the government is awaiting post-mortem report.

" We are waiting for post-mortem report. It is too early to say anything now," Kamat said.

MTV VJ Nikhil Chinappa too was present at the festival which draws people from all over the world.
