Rathore couple seek protection from media

Rathore couple seeks protection from media
Panchkula, Dec 30: Finding the noose tighten around his neck, former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, accused in Ruchika molestation case lashed out at the media on Wednesday, Dec 30.

“The day you can satisfy me that you are the constitutional power to decide on these judicial matters I will speak," Rathore, after his interim bail was denied.

Refusing to comment on the fresh FIRs filed against him, Rathore said that the media had had no right to question.

Stepping in line with her husband in criticising the media, wife and lawyer Abha Rathore mocked the reporters asking to them to click as many pictures they want as they are not running away from media.

"We came to know of the FIRs and the fresh charges through the media. We want protection of this court in view of the media trial and distortion of facts," she said.

She said that media, particularly the editors are pretending to be moralistic by harassing and humilating her family.

Acha accused the press of behaving irresponsible in the case by creating a hype.

"If four people shout about something which is wrong, it will not become a right. "If four people describe a donkey as a horse, it will not become a horse," she said during the proceedings," Abha Rathore said during the proceedings.
