Telangana: More OU students join fast
Hyderabad, Dec 28: More Osmania University students have dedicated themselves to the purpose of Telangana as another group of students undertook fast-unto-death on Monday, Dec 28, demanding for separation of Andhra Pradesh

This came just hours after the police shifted some of the students on hunger strike to a hospital.

The situation at the university remained tense as policemen in riot gear tried to enter the Arts College building to detain the students on hunger strike.

The students raised anti-police slogans and squatted on the ground carrying on their fasts. Along with the Joint Action Committee (JAC), the students have alleged that the police was trying to suppress their peaceful agitation.

In a late night operation on Sunday, Dec 27, the police arrested students after they announced their plans to hold a meeting and called for a 'Chalo Hyderabad' march on Jan 3.

No injustice to Telangana region: Minister
