Ruchika case: School comes under public scanner

Ruchika case: school comes under public scanner
New Delhi, Dec 28: In the latest development of the Ruchika case, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) may be filed against the school where Ruchika studied.

Ruchika was expelled from Sacred Heart just a month after the incident citing non-payment of fees as the reason for expulsion.

However, Ruchika family's dismisses the allegation saying that non-payment of fees was just an excuse made up by the school authorities.

"How could  we living on a posh sector not be able to pay the fees?" Ruchika 's family asked.

According to media reports, the school acted on the behest of the accused SPS Rathore to malign Ruchika's name.

Earlier on Dec 27, RM Singh, former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), alleged that Rathore had tried to influence him and the investigation team.

"He used to come to my chamber and even call up at my residence. He used to offer me favours at various joints. He also tried to influence my investigation team," RM Singh said.

Singh said that he recommended the inclusion of abetment to suicide in the chargesheet, which he claimed was ignored.
