TRS calls off bandh on account of Christmas
Hyderabad, Dec 24: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has called off the bandh in the Telangana region on Friday, Dec 25, on account of Christmas.

TRS took this decision after leaders of the Christian community urged the political parties to not cause any inconvenience on the festival day celebrating the birth of prophet Jesus Christ.

TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, who made this announcement on Thursday, Dec 24 took the opportunity to woo the Christian community and asked them to support the cause of Telangana.

TRS along with other pro-Telangana parties called for a 48-hour bandh starting from Wednesday, Dec 23, midnight after Centre made a statement saying that decision on Telangana will comes after wide-ranging consultations with all political parties.
