Man U stars visit children's hospital in Manchester

London, Dec 24(ANI): Several Manchester United's stars, including strikers Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen visited a children's hospital in Manchester on Wednesday.

United's players were at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, which is a beneficiary of the club's charity partner, the New Children's Hospital Appeal, where they also met two young face-painted patients, The Daily Star reported.

Rooney and Owen were accompanied with wingers Ji-Sung Park, Gabriel Obertan defender Jonny Evans.

The club's support has also helped raise 80,000 pounds for parental accommodation for parents visiting their sick children at the centre. (ANI)

Astronomers see stars bursting from 'dusty cocoons' in distant galaxy

Munich, Jan 22 (ANI): Astronomers have uncovered a host of new young, massive and dusty stellar nurseries in nearby galaxy NGC 253, which are, in a way, bursting from their cocoons.Astronomers from the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (Spain) used NACO, a sharp-eyed adaptive optics instrument on ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT), to study the fine detail in NGC 253, one of the brightest and dustiest spiral galaxies in the sky.Adaptive Optics (AO) corrects for the blurring effect.....
