Karnataka: BSY inducts rebel MLA into ministry

Bangalore, Dec 24: Karanataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has inducted dissident MLA M P Renukacharya into his ministry.

Renukacharya was sworn in by Governor H R Bhardwaj at the Raj Bhavan in the state capital at a brief function.

BS Yeddyurappa along with some of his ministerial colleagues attended the function.

This is the second time that Yeddyurappa has expanded his ministry under the pressure from rebels.

On Nov 17, BSY welcomed another rebel, Jagadish Shettar into his ministry. Shettar was inducted after he quit his post as the speaker.

These steps were taken as part of the compromise between BSY and the rebelling fraction led by the Reddy brothers.

Mangalore, Jan 28: Pramod Muthalik, Rashtriya Hindu Sena (parent body of Rama Sena) President has been granted bail by a court on Wednesday, Jan 28. He was arrested in Belgaum case for inciting disharmony. Around 20 to 25 activists of Sri Rama Sena organisation barged in a pub, Amnesia in Mangalore on Saturday, Jan 24 and beat up women in the pub accusing them of behaving in an obscene manner and going against Indian culture and tradition.Reacting.....

Pub culture should not be permitted: BSY

Bangalore, Jan 29: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa made it clear on Thursday, Jan 29 that 'Pub culture' is wrong and such cultures should not be permitted. He also stated that his govt will not allow people to take law into their hands. "Anyhow, we are not going to allow such incidents to happen again in the state. Sushma swaraj is one lady "Don" of BJP. The reddy's have already hired her as their protector in the center. Here yeddi is just a puppet in their hands. It all started during the JD(S) and BJP combined era instead of giving a cabinet berth to Sriramulu if yeddi had given it to Basavaraju H.D. This reddy's wouldn't have grown that much but what to say the caste politics will always prevail for example: Renukacharya M.P. if this person was a SC/ST then he would have been sacked from the party...
