Infosys wins Rs 3.87 bn K'taka project
Bangalore, Dec 24: Infosys Technologies has won a IT project worth Rs 3.87 billion to implement Karnataka's power distribution utilities, government officials said on Thursday, Dec 24.

"We have issued the letter of intent to Infosys," a official at the Bangalore utility said on condition of anonymity.

"It will cover entire Karnataka. This must be implemented within 36 months," official said.

The project was awarded by all five electricity distribution utilities in the state last week and will cover 100 towns in the state, he added.

Biotechnology major Biocon forays into nephrology space

Bangalore, Mar 09:  Biotechnology major Biocon on Thursday forayed into the nephrology space with the launch of a portfolio of five renal therapy products for the domestic and global markets, which it said was cheaper compared to MNC drug prices. The new immunosuppressants for renal therapy are at least 35-40 per cent cheaper than the MNC drug prices in the similar product category, the company's Marketing Head Rakesh Bamzai said.The Bangalore-headquartered company's Chairman and Managing Director, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said.....
