Four killed, several wounded in Peshawar blast

Peshawar, Dec.24 (ANI) : Suicide attacks continue to rattle Pakistan, as another such strike in Peshawar killed four persons and injured several others on Thursday morning.

The blast took place near the State Life Building situated on Mall Road in the Saddar area of the provincial capital.

North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Minister Bashir Bilour said that at least two suicide attackers blew themselves up killing two persons, including a police constable.

Bilour said the attackers came on a motorbike.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that the suicide bombers, who were on foot, triggered the bomb after being intercepted by security personnel at a check post.

Security forces have cordoned-off the blast site, and all injured people have been admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital, where a state of emergency has been announced.

This was the second such attack in the last couple of days in Peshawar.
