Lahore, Dec. 24 (ANI): Concerned over recent brickbating between some of the leaders of his party and the opposition Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in the wake of the Supreme Court's verdict on the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has cut short his London visit and returned home.

Sources said Sharif is perturbed at the tough stance that some party leaders have taken against President Asif Ali Zardari by demanding his resignation.

PML-N spokesperson Ahsan Iqbal said Sharif was asked to return early so that a clear-cut strategy could be finalised to cope with the situation arising after the apex court's decision declaring the NRO as 'unconstitutional".

Iqbal did not rule out a meeting between Sharif and Zardari, but said: "Meeting just for the sake of meeting gives birth to despair and distrust."

He said the party leadership will hold discussions over the worsening relations between the PML-N and the PPP, once Sharif comes back. (ANI)
