Blast near airline office in Peshawar, 2 killed
Peshawar, Dec 24: At least two people were killed and 6 others injured in a powerful blast in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Thursday, Dec 24, police said.

The blast occurred along a major road in a commercial area. An office of Pakistan's main airline is located there, Police official Manzur Khan said.

A series of attacks have occurred in Pakistan since Oct 2009, as militants apparently retaliate for an army offensive against the Taliban. The attacks have killed more than 500 people.
