'Help govt help aam admi'
New Delhi, Dec 19: Making his valedictory address at the 17th Quality Summit organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Institute of Quality, Minister of State for External Affairs Mr Shashi Tharoor stressed that quality should India Inc's top priority.

Mr Tharoor said that there are three specific pursuits that India Inc has to closely pursue vis-a-vis noble cause for society, good governance quality solution to solve national problems.

After admitting that the government has failed to provide basic necessities of roti (food), kapada (clothing) and maakan (shelter) to the 'aam admi' of the country, the minister urged India Inc to partner with government to ease this crucial societal requirement and further including issues pertaining to pani (water), kitab (education) aur kaam (employment).

Pointing out that the western perspective of India is changing for the better, Mr Tharoor asked the industry to make the most of the emerging global opportunities.

Media advisor to Prime Minister Mr Prem Shankar Jha, who also address the industry captains, emphasised on the need to enhance the Quality of life through urban development, improving the social balance, taking care of unorgansied sectors" needs and expectations and land management through equitable land acquisition.

NE NRI meet to be held at Guwahati in Dec
