Headley's original visa papers 'retrieved'

Headley's original visa papers 'retrieved'
Chicago, Dec 19: Sources have revealed that the original visa application form along with all the attached documents of terror suspect David Coleman Headley have been 'retrieved' from the record room of the Indian Consulate in Chicago.

Quoting reliable sources, media reports say Headley's original visa application form dated Jun 30, 2006 and all documents submitted by him when he applied for his visa to India were retrieved on Thursday, Dec 19.

This comes after the confusion over reports of the visa papers of the Pakistan-born American and his companion Pakistani-Canadian Tahawwur Hussain Rana going 'missing'.

The external affairs ministry had ordered an inquiry into the 'missing' documents, which were not traceable so far from the stack of the visa documents dumped in the record room of the Indian Consulate in Chicago.

The original documents are reportedly being sent to India.

48-year-old Headley has been charged with criminal conspiracy in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Rana has also been arrested on charges of plotting terror attacks outside US. He has denied involvement in the the Nov 2008 attacks in India.
