Anti-Sikh riots: CBI seeks arrest order of accused
New Delhi, Dec 14: In a significant development in the anti-Sikh riots, Home Minister P Chidambaram said that investigation on  cases against accused Jagish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar and Late Dharam Das has been completed by CBI.

Briefing the House about the progress in the case during the Calling Attention motion, Chidambaram said that CBI has sought permission to arrest the accused following completion of the investigation.

“While in four cases, the CBI has sought permission under Section 196 CrPC from the Competent Authority to prosecute the accused persons, in one case the closure has been filed and accepted by the court," he said.

The delay of justice to the victims of anti-Sikh riot has always been a bone of contention between the Center and the Sikh community.
