US: Convicted IITian wants to fire lawyer
Chicago, Dec 11: Vikarm Buddhi, an IITian who was convicted for sending hate mails to former president George W Bush expressed his desire to fire his lawyer on Thursday, Dec 10.

Appearing before the Chicago court, Buddhi accused his lawyer Arlingpon Foley of neither discussing the case properly with him nor giving him proper time.

Buddhi's earlier lawyer was removed for the same reason.

After hearing Buddhi's request Judge James T Moody asked him to sort out the matter with his lawyer or be prepared to handle the case himself, adding that there will no halt in his sentencing.

Buddhi was charged with posting hate mails to the then US president George w Bush and his wife, vice president Dick Cheney and his wife, including instigating bombing of America.

Since 2006 Buddhi has been in  US federal prison and was kept at at Chicago Correctional Centre for the last three and a half years after his trial in Court of Hammond, Indiana.

Buddhi's parents have appealed the Indian government to take his case into consideration.
