Kiwis face setback with fresh O'Brien injury

Napier (New Zealand), Dec.9 (ANI): New Zealand's chances of securing a series victory over Pakistan in the final cricket test against Pakistan to be played here, have received a setback with fast bowler Iain O'Brien aggravating a finger injury.

O'Brien left fielding practice early here at McLean Park, nursing his right hand after taking part in outfield drills.

According to the NZPA, the 33-year-old seamer, who will be playing his last Test, dislocated the middle finger of his bowling hand during the latter stages of New Zealand's 32-run victory in the first test in Dunedin.

He played in the second test defeat at the Basin Reserve last week, revealing part way through the match Friday's series finale would be his last game of international cricket.

O'Brien is moving to the United Kingdom before Christmas to be with his English-based wife Rosie. (ANI)

Haddin helps Australia post a huge total against Kiwis

Sydney, Feb.8 (ANI): Australian wicket-keeper batsman Brad Haddin on Sunday helped his team to a commanding score of 301 for nine against New Zealand in the third of five one-day internationals for the Chappell-Hadlee trophy here.Shifted to opener, Haddin took out his frustration on the hapless Kiwi attack by posting his first one-day international hundred.With Australia staring at a series defeat at 2-0 down in the five-game series, Haddin's (109 off 114 balls) knock in his 41st outing.....
