JetLite launches online booking engine
Mumbai, Dec 9: JetLite has launched a new online booking engine, which will simplify the ticket-booking procedure for the fliers.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Jet Airways India Ltd, which launched the new service on Wednesday, Dec 9, said that this is an attempt to offer a flexible web-sale solution to cater to the increasing e-commerce activities in ticket purchasing pattern in the Indian market.

Guests can follow a simple booking process and make their selection based on three parameters - Lowest Fare, Fixed dates or Flexible dates. They will also receive a SMS and an email confirmation of the booking to the mobile number provided, the company said in a press release.

JetLite also offers features like 'Manage my booking" and 'PNR Status' making the booking process more convenient for the customers.

"We wanted a flexible solution to keep up with the changing times in today"s dynamic and competitive market. This is yet another innovative step by Jet Airways to offer the best to our customers both in terms of experience and value added services." Mr Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, said on the launch.

He added that this initiative will help the company cut down on distribution costs and build customer loyalty.

To make sure that the transactions are secure, a unique automated CyberSource Risk screening solution and a 3D secure Payment gateway as per RBI guidelines have been put in place.

Apart from this, JetLite.com also has web check-in facility where the customers can select their preferred seat and print their boarding pass from.

Delhi-bound JetLite flight suffers bird hit

Lucknow, Jul 28: A Delhi-bound JetLite flight was forced to abort take off here on Thursday, Jul 28 after it suffered a bird hit while taxiing on the runway.An airline spokesperson said, flight S2138 with 144 passengers onboard was taxiing on the runway when it suffered a bird-hit at 7:20 am.The take off was aborted and the Boeing 737 was returned to the bay, where engineers are inspecting the damage.The spokesperson informed that all the passengers.....
