Ready to tackle any ULFA threat: Bangladesh

Dhaka, Dec 8: Bangladesh Home Minister Sahara Khatun has said that the country was ready to tackle any threat from Indian separatist group ULFA.

The minister's statement comes after ULFA chief Arabinda Rajkhowa threatened retaliation at being "betrayed" by Dhaka.

Supportive of India's effort to start a peace dialogue with the banned outfit, Dhaka last week facilitated the detention of ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa.

Rajkhowa, who is currently in Indian custody, said, "Bangladesh has 100 percent betrayed me."

His deputy commander-in-chief Raju Barua has been quoted as saying that "betrayer Bangladesh would not be spared."
