I did not force my pilot to land: Rahul
Lucknow, Dec 8: Reacting to allegation of flouting security in Sitapur district on Monday, Dec 7, Rahul Gandhi defended himself saying that he did not force his pilot to land in zero visibility.

Acknowledging the risk of landing in zero visibility, Rahul said that no rules were flouted in bringing the chopper down.

" The pilot has not broken any rules. You are making a story out of it and destroying their career. Our state president is not the pilot. Our state president is not an expert on weather conditions. We have not put any pressure on the pilot. It was done completely according to procedure. Not once have I broken security rules. You can ask the SPG. Every single thing I do, the Director, SPG is aware of and gives me permission to do," he said.

State party president Rita Bahuguna Joshi had said that Rahul had forced his chopper to land in zero visibility in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh.

He was in here on a two-day state visit.
