BSNL slashes roaming rates to 49 paise per min
New Delhi, Dec 8: State-run BSNL has slashed the national roaming charges from Rs 1 or Rs 1.50 per minute to 49 paise per minute.

Under per second planning, the roaming charges are 1 paise per second to calls on its own network and 1.2 paise per second to other networks, the company said.

"This is an attempt to join the price war scenario currently prevailing in the country," BSNL chairman and managing director Kuldeep Goyal said.

He also said, "Our primary aim is to bring the advantage of our network to our customers."
