No stoppage of work in Arunachal: Khandu
New Delhi, Dec 2: Reacting strongly to Chinese objection on Ladakh road construction, Arunachal Chief Minister Doorjee Khandu said that his government will not succumb to any such pressure.

Speaking to reporters, Khandu said, "China has no right to object to infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh as the state is an integral part of India."

When asked whether his government would stop work on any infrastructure project if China objects, Khandu said, "The development work would not be stopped just because somebody says that this land belongs to him."

The work on a link-road in Demchok in South-eastern Ladakh region was stopped after objections were raised by the Chinese Army.

The Central government has given a Rs 24,000-crore package for development of various infrastructure like airports and roads to Arunachal Pradesh.
