Pilot accidentally presses hijack button

Mumbai, Dec 2: A pilot of an international Kingfisher flight created quiet a scare when he accidentally pressed a hijack button on Tuesday, Dec 1.

However, the pilot who realised his mistake immediately got in touch with the ATC officials in Mumbai to avoid any further complications. The Hong Kong-Mumbai flight was later cleared for landing.

Airport sources have informed that all the passengers onbroad the flight are all safe.

New Delhi, Dec 1: Air India today said that it will hike fares by Rs 300 effective from Monday even as other airlines are poised to push through a hike due to increase in fuel surcharge this year. Jet and Kingfisher have already declared their hike by Rs 300. The increase in surcharge follows a 12 per cent increase in aviation fuel prices by the oil companies, Air India said in a statement.
