New York, Dec.1 (ANI): Golf's wild man John Daly has called on Tiger Woods to tell the truth about what happened the night he crashed his car into a fire hydrant and tree.
"The thing that Tiger needs to look at is, whatever happened, just tell the truth," The New York Times quoted Daly, as saying.
Daly, who has had more scrapes and personal crises than anyone else in the game, urged his friend to come out of his home and face the world.
Woods has yet to tell the police or his millions of supporters what happened on Friday that left him semi-conscious beside his luxury four-wheel-drive with cuts to his face and blood in his mouth.
He has since withdrawn from his own charity tournament this week in Los Angeles, where he had been scheduled to hold a press conference.
Two-time major winner Daly, in Sydney preparing for this week's Australian Open at the NSW Golf Club, believes Woods should go to the tournament with his wife and family.
"The most important thing right now is for them to be together. He'll get over this. The family will get over it. They'll move on. Golf needs him," he said.
Daly said he hoped Woods, who has won 14 major titles, would go on to beat Jack Nicklaus's record of 18. (ANI)
