Koda uses polls as shield, skips questioning again

Madhu Koda skips questioning again
Ranchi, Nov 28: Madhu Koda, who is being questioned for his alleged involvement in money laundering scam in tune of Rs 4,000 crore, again used election as an excuse to skip interrogations on Friday, Nov 27.

Sources say that the former Jharkhand chief minister told the Vigilance Bureau he was busy in poll campaigning and that he would appear before it only after the completion of the five-phased Jharkhand assembly polls, which is scheduled to end on Dec 18.

"Koda failed to appear before us Friday. We have again sent summons to him and we will take recourse to legal measures to ensure his presence," M V Rao, Inspector General, Vigilance Bureau, told a news agency.

Koda has been issued fresh summons by the bureau for Dec 4.
