I strongly believe that nothing can rest in front of active politics which is prevelent in India. All the ministers are engaged to fill their own pockets and almost no one is willing to do something for the nation. The problem of IAF fighter aircraft crashes is not a latest news. The IAF has been suffering with this problem for decades. Every year, somewhere around 9 to 10 crashes are considered a normal scenario. This certainly proves an inediquate and inefficient Aeronautical Engineers. They try to gain pride when the crashes reduce in a particular year, but to be honest they are not in a mindset to put a final stop on it. Now a days, we compare our aircrafts with others. It is good to be aware of the latest technology of others so as to upgrade our own technology accordingly. But the big question lies behind it. Now a days, it is easy to develop a new technology but is very difficult to maintain it. Aferall, there is a well known saying that it is easy to buy an elephant but it is difficult to pay for the quantity of food which it eats on a daily basis. Presently, The IAF is also suffering from the same vicious circle. God forbid, if at any time if the situation of war arises, I doubt that almost half of the aircrafts will automatically crash before crossing the border and bombarding the enemy. I strongly beleive that its high time now for the the government and IAF specially after the Mumbai carnage, to refurbish and rehabilitate their fighter jets as soon as possible as India has already given a strong verbal warning to Pakistan that if they dare to attack any part of the Indian soil now, then they will have to bear serious consequences. Now then if you haven't got the bricks and sand then how can you extect to built a house? Hence, IAF should take immediate measures to strengthen it's force before it is too late. Afterall, a fact cannot be denied that Pakistan has almost matched India in airforce in recent years which has not been a case for past decades.
