'Cong leaking Liberhan report to polarise votes'

'Cong leaking Liberhan report to polarise votes'
Ranchi, Nov 23: Accusing the government of indulging in intentional 'selective leakage' of the Liberhan Commission's findings on the Babri Masjid demolition, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh said that Congress did this keeping the upcoming Jharkhand elections in view.

"Keeping the upcoming elections in view, the UPA government has selectively leaked the report to the media so that there is a polarisation of votes," he said responding to

the newspaper article which claims that the commission has indicted top BJP leaders like LK Advani, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Murli Manohar Joshi.

"The Liberhan report was submitted to the central government on June 30 and parliament was in session in July. The report was not tabled in parliament in July session. The parliament session is on and, instead of tabling the report in parliament, it has been selectively leaked to the media," Mr Singh added.

Rajnath Singh was in Ranchi campaigning for the five phase Jharkhand assembly polls, which is set to begin on Nov 25.
