Agni-II missile to be tested on Nov 23
Bhubaneshwar, Nov 23: Agni-II surface missile will be tested by Indian Army on tested on Nov 23, on the Wheeler Island off the Orissa coast.

The user-trial which will be done at night will make it the first test to be conducted at night since the inception of missile development program by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The test flight  has been conducted at night to enable the armed forces to gauge the accuracy of the missile at night.

The range of the 20 metres and 16 tons Agni-II missile can also be increased from 2,000-km plus to 3,000 by reducing the its original payload of 1,000 kg.

Defense Research and Development Organization has provided technical assistance to the construction of Agni-II surface-to-surface Intermediate Range Ballastic Missile.
