Osama's son desires to be UN peace envoy
London, Nov 19: Parting ways from his father's violent ways, Omar Bin Laden, son of world's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden, expressed his desire to be UN envoy of peace.

Omar who severed contacts with his father in 2001 said that violence was never his choice and that he would now like to be in to promote peace in UN role.

Speaking about his father discourse on Jihad, Omar, said, " He spoke of how it is a great honour to give one's life for Islam and said anyone who wanted to give their life should put their name on a paper in the mosque."

He said that although he was expected by his father to a carry his work forward, his disliked for violence or disapproval made him part ways with his father,adding that his father had never pressurized him to join al-qaeda.

Saddened by the Sep 11, 2001 attacks in America, Omar said,"As the son of Osama bin Laden, I am truly sorry for all the terrible things that have happened, the innocent lives that have been destroyed, the grief that still lingers in many hearts."

Omar Bin Laden is the fourth eldest son of Osama Bin Laden.

Washington, July 15: Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden praises martyrdom as a weapon and a path to glory for Muslims in a video that CNN said was intercepted before it was to appear on radical Islamist Web sites. CNN, which noted it could not verify the authenticity of the 40-minute video and had translated it from Arabic into English, said on its Web site there was no indication of where or when the footage had.....
