England fined for slow overrate in Centurion 20-20 clash

Johannesburg, Nov.17 (ANI): England have been fined for a slow over rate during the second Twenty20 in Centurion tand-in skipper Alastair Cook has lost 20 per cent of his match fee for his side failing to bowl their overs in the alloted time, while his team-mates have been fined 10 per cent of their match fees, The Sun reports.

South Africa smashed 241/6 in their innings. England folded up for 157/8.

The International Cricket Council has stuck to the rule book.

Should Cook, as Twenty20 captain, make the same mistake twice more in the next 12 months, he faces a one-match suspension. (ANI)
