Taliban warns of more suicide attacks
Islamabad, Nov 15: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has warned of carrying out more suicide attacks across the country in protest against the government's policies.

Taking the responsibility for Friday's suicide attack outside the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) building in Peshawar in which 12 people were killed and dozen others injured, top TTP leader Qari Hussain Mehsud challenged the authorities to stop the attacks.

"We targeted the ISI office because the intelligence agency has a say in government policies," Mehsud, who is known for training suicide bombers, told the BBC.

He said the attacks were in reaction to the military operation in Waziristan and the cooperation, which Pakistan was extending to the US led 'war on terror.'

Commenting about the on-going military offensive in South Waziristan, which is supposed to be the Taliban's stronghold, Mehsud said the Taliban had vacated many areas in the region under a well-thought-out strategy, and that it would continue to confront the security forces.

"The strategy is aimed at to maintain our strength of fighters and save the weapons," he said.

Mehsud also warned that the Taliban would intensify its guerrilla fight in South Waziristan in the coming days.
