Lucknow, Nov 15: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday, Nov 14, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebel Kalyan Singh was neither with the party and nor he would be inducted into the party.

Speaking to reporters here Mulayam said, "I have said this in the past and would repeat it again that Kalyan Singh was never in the SP, nor he will be taken in the party fold in the future."

His statements comes after Samajwadi Party lost all by-elections held Nov 7 to fill 11 seats in the Uttar Pradesh assembly.

Few months ago Mulayalam himself inducted Kalyan into SP.

Commenting on Kalyan Singh sharing dais with him during the party Agra convention, Yadav said he couldn't stop anyone if he comes willingly. "I admit that invitation was sent to Kalyan, but it was probably due to a mistake," he said.

Mulayam Singh also said that his going along with Kalyan Singh would further harm the prospects of the SP, which was trying to regain ground after its defeat in the recent by-elections.
