Gilani seeks resumption of talks with India
Editor's pick
Islamabad, Nov 15: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani called for the resumption of the composite dialogue between Pakistan and India.

Addressing a meeting with US National Security Adviser James Jones, Gilani said, "I think dialogue is the only solution. It’s the only way forward because the solution of these problems is not war but dialogue."

"US should be sensitive to Pakistan's core interests including the Kashmir dispute, issues related to water, the Indian military's capability and the balance of power in South Asia," he said.

Gilani also added that the US should use its influence with India to resume the composite dialogue process and bring down tensions with Pakistan, to enable Islamabad to concentrate on the war on terror.
