Noida-Delhi metro line to open on Nov 13

New Delhi, Nov 12: The first Metro train connecting Delhi and Noida is all set to begin operations from Friday, Nov 13, after the ceremonial launch scheduled to take place on Thursday, Nov 12.

Launch of the Noida corridor connecting Delhi with the National Capital Region (NCR) will take place at the Akshardham station in east Delhi.


After Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit flag off the train from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati will be flagging off the first train from Noida.

Public can access this service from 6 am onwards on Friday, Nov 13.

This line was built to serve various purposes. The metro is expected to not only reduce the traveling time of the commuters but is also expected to reduced the traffic on the Noida Highway as well as on the ITO junction.
