Five Indian cities put on terror alert

New Delhi, Nov 12: Advisory has been issued to five Indian cities in the wake of upcoming  26/11 terror attacks anniversary.

Security has been beefed up in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Agra and Ahmedabad taking into consideration that Headley, an LeT operative arrested by FBI in Chicago had visited this places before the 26/11 terror attacks.


A news agency quoted the home ministry as stating that the intelligence bureau has got information of terrorists infiltration through the Indian west coast and target vital installations in the country.

Home ministry said that reports which are based on the interrogation report of David Headley done by FBI found strong support in the intelligence agencies inputs.

The revelation of Headley's visit to India between 2006 and 2009 has raised doubts that those visits may have done to established sleeper cells in the cities.Headley was arrested by FBI with his accomplice Tahawwur Hussain for poltting terrorists attacks aaginst India with LeT.
