China: Company sealed over fake swine flu masks
Beijing, Nov 12: State Food and Drug Administration (SDFA) has ordered a  company in northern China to shut down and to pull out its products from the market following the company's false claim of producing SDFA approved, anti-swine flu masks.

"The company was making bogus claims about its product. It had also claimed that the masks have been tested by the institute of virus prevention," SFDA spokeswoman Yan Jiangying said.

Reports said that Tianjin Mingda Science and Technology Co Ltd had produced 8,000 of which 5,000 were sold for USD 1.40 each.

According to China's Health Ministry report, the country has witnesses 36 swine flu deaths while 62,871 people have been infected.
