Kingfisher flight skids on runway, no casualties

Mumbai, Nov 10: A Kingfisher Airlines aircraft skidded off the runway on Tuesday evening, Nov 10 while landing at Mumbai airport.

According to officials, Flight IT-4124 arrived from Bhavnagar and landed at Mumbai airport which had been witnessing low visibility due to rains.

A spokesman for Kingfisher Airlines said that the cause of the incident is not yet known. All 42 passengers and crew onboard were safe.

He also denied that a fire broke out in the aircraft due to the skidding.

A few flights scheduled for departure were also delayed because of the incident.

New Delhi, May 18: Kingfisher Airlines plans to introduce landscape camera system onboard all its Airbus aircraft. Its third A321 aircraft has come with this feature. The modification involves installation of two cameras near the nose landing gear. Each of the cameras weighs 4.5 kg and will enable guests onboard to see the scenic view on-ground on their personalised screens. New Delhi, Oct 30: Kingfisher Airlines has mandated management consulting firm Accenture to study the possibility of integrating operations with Air Deccan. ''We have appointed Accenture to advise on the integration of two airlines. We will take a future course of action after a report from it in the next six weeks,'' said Kingfisher's Chairman Vijay Mallya on the sidelines of Fortune Global Forum here. Earlier this year, Mr Mallya's UB Group had acquired 26 per cent stake in Deccan Aviation.....

Air India may buy A380 planes: Airbus CEO

New Delhi, Oct 30: European plane maker Airbus is in talks with Air India (AI) for selling 10 to 12 A380s, its chief executive officer Tom Enders said today.
