Counting to 1 LS , 31 Assembly seats starts
New Delhi, Nov 10: Counting for by-polls to one Lok Sabha in Firozabad and 31 Assembly seats in Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala, has started on Tuesday, Nov 10.

The competitors for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Firozabad are Congress candidate Raj Babbar and Samajwadi party candidate Dimple Yadav, daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The by-elections for 11 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh were held in Powagan (SC), Lucknow West, Padrouna, Rari, Isauli, Jhansi, Kolasala, Hainsar Bazar, Lalitpur, Etawah and Bharthana.

In West Bengal the 10 constitutencies in which by-polls were held include Kalchini (ST), Raiganj (SC), Sujapur, Goalpokhar, Bongaon, Contai South, Egra, Serampore, Alipore and Belgachia East.Kerala had by-polls in 3 constituencies in Kannur, Ernakulam and Alappuzha, while the remaining 7 of the 31 seats where held in Assam in Salmara South and Dhekiajuli, Rohru and Jawali in Himachal Pradesh, Salumber-ST and Todabhim-ST in Rajasthan and Vaishali Nagar in Chattisgarh.

The votings where held on Saturday, Nov 7.
