Mulayam accuses Mayawati of land grabbing

Mulayam accuses Mayawati of land grabbing
Lucknow, Nov 9: In political brick-brat between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has accused Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and her senior ministers, Shashank Shekhar Singh and Shailesh Krishna of land grabbing.

Demanding a CBI probe against them in a memorandum submitted to Governor BL Joshi, Yadav alleged that independent MLC Sunil Singh was pressurised to surrender his private Mall Avenue for the expansion of CM's official residence by the two ministers at the behest of Mayawati.

"Mayawati had already acquired nine buildings in Mall Avenue which have been included in her existing bungalow. Now, she is eyeing Singh's house where he has been living for the past 32 years," he said.

The appeal for CBI probe came after Shailesh was recorded threatening to influence the Court in a CD released by Yadav and a SP general secretary Amar Singh.

"It is evident from the CD that the officers are trying to influence and manipulate the judiciary. We have requested the Governor to order a probe into the matter," he said.
