Protest against death of a local youth in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 7(ANI): Police were compelled to use tear gas and air firing on Saturday to disperse violent mobs protesting against the death of a local youth.

The youth took to the streets after a body of a man, identified as Mohammed Yaqoob, was recovered on Saturday morning.

The dead body of Yaqoob, who used to sell barbecues at Lal Chowk in Maisuma, was recovered from a shed where he used to sell meat preparations.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police of Srinagar, Javed Bedaar, has assured that the police have registered a case and commenced the investigation.
