Karnataka crisis: Reddy rubbishes reports on truce

G Janardhana Reddy
Hyderabad, Nov 7: Rubbishing reports on a truce offer made by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) high command to the warring factions in Karnataka in bid to resolve the ongoing political turmoil in the state, Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy asserted that there is no change in the stance of dissidents.

"The party leaders have not given us any such thing. I am confident they will take the right decision in the next two days," Janardhana Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad on Saturday, Nov 7.

Janardhana Reddy reached Hyderabad to discuss the latest developments with the rest of the rebel group. Over 40 MLAs who are part of Reddys' rebellion faction have been holed up in a Hyderabad hotel for a week now.

The tourism minister, who has been spearheading this campaign to dethrone Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa, later went to Bangalore to meet his elder brother and Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy and the third sibling G Somashekara.

This comes after BSY said 'everything has been resolved' in New Delhi.

Yeddyurappa has left for Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu Kashmir after saying 'thankful to the party leadership for reposing faith in me'.
