Indian students hit after four Oz colleges shut
Melbourne, Nov 6: More than 2,000 international students, including from India, suffered yet another setback after the collapse of four private colleges in Australia on Friday, Nov 6.

Global Campus Management Group, which owns four private colleges in Sydney and Melbourne, was placed into voluntary administration on Thursday, Nov 5.

About 2,700 international students were affected, including students about to take their exams. The students were mainly from India and other Asian countries.

India's deputy high commissioner to Australia, V K Sharma, said an estimated 300 or so of the affected students were Indians and that the recent collapse of some colleges had led to a sharp fall in student arrivals from India.

"There was also a lot of fraud going on in the system," he added.

The colleges, located at 13 campuses in Melbourne and Sydney, provide tuition in hospitality, design, English language, fashion and secondary education.

Can I please know what sort of fraud this is? Or is it another attempt for our superior Indian Media to hype things. Yes, I agree with everything - the fact the GCM (a certain branch of theirs) went into V.A. - Please do explain with regards to whoever wrote this about the High Commissioner saying GCM has done Fraudulent or it seems- nothing has been mentioned about this elsewhere. Before you start to create more problems - please stop creating unwanted hatred or problems. Media is a powerful tool but I believer substantial evidence needs to be told first not a ramble. To me a good medis person , do not seem things but base it on facts please. I can mention so many other countries whereby international colleges have gone under V.A., even in India. So please- positive answer - based on GCMG facts. If not, theres no need to mentio high comm's name
