New Delhi, Nov 5: Jarnail Singh, the Sikh journalist who shot to popularity after he threw a shoe at Home Minister, P Chidambaram over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, has published a book on the riots which is set to be released on Friday, Nov 6.
The book which is titled 'I Accuse...' in English and 'Kab Kategi Chaurasi' (When will 1984 pass) narrates the story of Singh who is witnessing the killing of fellow Sikhs following the assassination of the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
"With this book I have unearthed the conspiracy behind the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, as to how it was a state-sponsored massacre. It has the untold stories of how the victims and their families have spent the last 25 years," Singh is quoted as saying in a news agency report.
The book which is being published by Penguin starts is an autobiographical account which starts when the riots broke out in 1984. The narrative starts with 11-year-old Singh playing cricket outside his house at Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi when the looting and killing starts and ends with the journalist throwing the shoe at P Chidambaram.
