LTTE training the Maoist cadre in India: SL govt

'LTTE training Maoist cadre in India'
Colombo, Nov 5: Sri Lankan government has said that there is, in fact, a nexus between Maoists and Liberation of Tamil Tigers (LTTE) and that the Lankan militant group has been training the Maoist cadre in India to fight the government from past two years.

This comes after the Lanka"s Central Intelligence agency submitted the report to government indicating that the Maoists are getting logistic support and training from LTTE, reports Zee News.

Both Indian and Sri Lankan intelligence agencies have reportedly alerted the Indian government for some more major LTTE intrusions.

This news comes amid the Home Minister, P Chidambaram's continual assertions that Maoists and Naxalites who are operating on Indian soil are receiving support from extremist groups abroad.
