Man U & Chelsea struggle into CL knockout

Manchester, Nov 4: English football giants, Chelsea and Manchester United struggled to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages in Tuesday, Nov 3 matches.

In a frantic ending, Manchester United managed to enter the knockout stage by scoring late goals to secure a 3-3 draw against CSKA Moscow in their Group B match.


Didier Drogba's two goals led Chelsea to secure a draw of 2-2 with Athletico in Madrid and make it to the next round.

"We have qualified which is great although it would have been nice to do it with a win," Drogba said after the match.

Bordeaux and Porto also qualified for the knockout stage.
