Malaysian man claims Pakistani wife 'stole' son and fled to Karachi

Kuala Lumpur, Nov. 3 (ANI): A Malaysian man has claimed that his estranged Pakistani wife kidnapped and took away his three-year-old son to Karachi while he was at work.According to Ashiq Ali, his wife Nabila Hussain did this despite the Selangor Syariah Court granting him temporary custody of their two boys.

The court had also issued an injunction prohibiting his wife from leaving the country with the children.The Star Online quoted Ashiq, as saying that he is worried sick for the safety and well-being of their three-year-old son Amir Hamzah ever since his wife took him away in June."Last month, I called my wife's family in Karachi and they told me that Nabila and Amir Hamzah are safely with them. I wonder whether there is any truth to that as her documents are still with me," he said."It is impossible for her and my son to slip out of the country without any documents," he added.In his police complaint, Ashiq stated that Nabila had sent a text message to him, threatening to take away their eldest son as well. Malaysian Indian Congress leader sacked for criticizing party

Petaling Jaya (Malaysia), Jan.25 (ANI): Former Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) vice-president M. Muthupalaniappan has been sacked for making statements against the party.According to the Star, Muthupalaniappan was sacked more than a month after receiving a show cause notice from the MIC disciplinary committee following a complaint over his alleged statements in a Tamil newspaper on November 11, 2008 and on an Internet news portal on December 17, 2008.Party disciplinary committee chairman G. Vadiveloo said a letter was sent.....
