Karnataka to raise money for flood victims

Bangalore, Nov 3 (ANI): A group of four artists in Bangalore organised a painting exhibition to raise money for the victims of the recent floods, which caused havoc in the state.

In order to help the flood victims, four artists have come forward to organise a painting exhibition where they would sell their paintings and raise money for the flood relief fund.

"We are four artists who have come from different parts of Karnataka to exhibit our paintings. We wish this exhibition to be successful because whatever we will get from the sale, we will donate it for the flood relief fund," said Shankar, an artist.

The paintings of these artists who have taken such an initiative are being well received by the art enthusiasts.

"The paintings are so beautiful and they are very reasonably priced and the thought that this would go to such a good cause makes it all the more appealing," said Parul, a spectator.

Described by officials as the worst in many decades, the floods wreaked havoc in northern parts of Karnataka, killing over 280 people besides rendering several thousands homeless. (ANI)
