World's fastest man adopts world's fastest animal

Bolt adopts baby Cheetah
Nairobi, Nov 3: Usain Bolt who was recently crowned the World's fastest man adopted his counterpart from the wild on Monday, Nov 2.

Paying $13,700, Bolt sponsored a three-month-old Cheetah cub to support Kenya's efforts to conserve its wildlife.

The Jamaican athlete who welcomed a baby Cheetah as part of his family has named it Lightning Bolt', say media reports.

He will be paying $3,000 a year for Lighting Bolt's care and Baby Bolt will be raised at an animal orphanage in Nairobi.

Bolt, who is extremely afraid of the animal, almost fled the scene when he was asked to pet a full grown Cheetah. However when he saw the cuddly infant, he cradled the animal and fed it bottled milk.

"The cheetah has now become my good friend. Initially I was scared of them but I have now overcome the fear," the double world record holder said.
